Update: Female Body Pulled From Hackensack River

HACKENSACK, N.J. -- Authorities recovered a female body from the Hackensack River on Sunday, local police said.

First responders arrived just after 10 a.m. following a report of an unidentified body in the water behind the Shops at Riverside, authorities said.

The body was recovered at 12:20 p.m., Hackensack Lt. Darrin Dewitt told Daily Voice.

Responders including the Hackensack police and fire departments, Oradell Fire Department, Bergenfield Fire Department and the Bergen County Sheriff's Office worked for more than two hours to recover the body.
